We are proud to introduce Kyte Learning as part of our 2019 - 2020 DigCitAPPROVED partners. Last year at ISTE, when CEO, Richard Culatta asked all of us how we were going to make a commitment to digital citizenship, we immediately knew we were going to #DigCitCommit by officially partnering with Kyte Learning to bring our personalized professional development approach to the school communities we work with around the world.
What is Kyte Learning?
How We Met Kyte Learning
In 2015, our friend and colleague, J. Derek Larson introduced us to Kyte Learning when he was a featured speaker at the first international DigCitSummit in Bournemouth, UK. Since that time, we have been massive fans of Kyte Learning as a professional development platform, and even more importantly, as an organization. The founders, Brayden Wardrop and Asher Sume have created a platform and an online library of educational technology training videos that meet educators where they are and help them move forward. Their mission as a company is to inspire teachers to embrace technology in the classroom through meaningful professional learning.
DigCitAPPROVED Company and Organization
We are so proud that classrooms around the world now have access to our introductory bundle of digital citizenship courses through Kyte Learning because of the following reasons:
1. EdTech Training at Your Fingertips
The best ed-tech resources together in one place through an ever-growing library of video tutorials and teacher created training content. With around-the-clock access to technology training, anyone can take their classroom tech usage to the next level.
2. Personalized and Self Paced
Offering a completely customizable solution that lets educators break down otherwise complex tech-topics, into bite sized pieces. Through structured walk-through examples, anyone can become an EdTech expert.
3. Badging and Certifications
Earn certifications for each and every course completed on the platform and track a variety of key metrics like time spent on courses and assessment data. Teachers can showcase their skills by achieving a variety of badges as they progress through course content.
4. By Teachers for Teachers
All of our content is built by expert classroom teachers. Relevant professional learning for teachers, by teachers.
Be the Digital Change
This APPROVED partnership supports local, global, and digital communities working together to think critically and act creatively as we solve problems and create solutions together, both on and offline. Kyte Learning’s why resonates with us as a wonderful tool, platform, company, and organization who provides students opportunities to learn about different perspectives and practice interpersonal skills that are crucial for building cross-cultural relationships later in life, through technology and virtual exchange. Our missions are well-aligned to transform participants into designers, creative thinkers, global collaborators, problem solvers, and justice-oriented citizens. Through our shared vision to prepare students for a more collaborative and global world, and through leveraging technology for social good, our work together has the potential to drastically impact and change the lives of students across the globe for the better.
